    Sigh.
It's been raining all day. Looked out the window about an hour ago and saw that my 6 by 20-foot wooden pirate ship facade has fallen over, burying several pirates and part of the graveyard. The mast is listing. And it's still raining.
I'm going to bed and hoping that the rain will have stopped by morning. I'll assess the damage and figure out what can be salvaged. And decide what I'll have to give up that I won't get done while I waste a day.
    Crap.
    Crap. Crap.

Sorry to hear this! The weather has been a heavy topic this year for a lot of us; wind, rain, more wind. Hope you can salvage most of the display.

We've been having tons of rain here too (central IL). Decided I'm going to wait 'til The Day to put the rest of my stuff out. Just too soggy.

Hope the facade and all of your scurvy dogs are salvagable. Have an extra nice piece of chocolate to make yourself feel better!

We had a bazooka amount of rain here in Austin TX... and more to come. MY girlfriend just told me that a tornado watch may be on before the weekend. I hung my first prop yesterday.. it was one I had for my dogs in the yard... and the wind shredded him last night.. not salvageable. Sorry to hear about the ship. Hope it ends well for you.

EDIT: Yes, you read that right. I hang a prop for my dogs. They like halloween too! :-)

So sorry to hear about your ship. I hope you can fix her up before she ends up in Davy Jones Locker! Lots of rain here too. We're expecting very high winds in the next day or so also.

Man, I'm sorry to hear that! I hope you can salvage most of it. We are expecting rain tomorrow, into Friday, but Saturday is looking good. A lilttle cold, but no precipitation! We have both been really stressed out over this for a couple of weeks now. Keep your fingers crossed!

Thanks for all the kind words and encouragement - I knew I'd find moral support here on the forum. I've cleaned up most of the mess around the ship and what I can reach under it. Going back out to see if she can be raised.
