I would have done a search - but I am not even sure how to pose the question...
We've always been pretty plain and simple when handing out the candy to the TOTs. I usually take the candy out of the bowl and put it in their buckets, pillow cases, whatever. I wanted to spice it up a bit this year. A relative mentioned the use of wet noodles, but didn't go into any details. I can't figure out how you would do that? Wouldn't the candy wrappers get all wet too or am I just being a total ditz right about now?
How does that work, and is there anything else we can do to make it a little more interesting? Even at my age, this is a new concept to me. What do you all do?

We just use a black plastic cauldron. Maybe you could put a small bowl inside a bigger bowl. Then put the candy in the big bowl (on the outside of the small bowl), then put noodles, or something in the small bowl. Keep it above their heads, and make them reach into the bowl. Most likely, they would grab at the contents of the small bowl, and be creeped out.

Create a Scary Hand Bowl
“As unsuspecting trick-or-treaters ransack the bowl for candy, they'll be greeted by a suitably scary surprise -- a frighteningly lifelike limb grasping for them.”
This project is from Martha Stewart. The easy directions are included below.

However if you want to really scare the kids, wear something other than a dish washing glove (I.e Skeleton gloves). Or at least glue some candy to the dish washing glove so it isn’t as obvious.
There has also been some recent posts about how to make giving candy more interactive/ more frightening. I will include the link below:
