Do we have a HF mascot? If not, we should make one!

Cedar Fair has a Haunt Mascot; The Overlord

Busch Gardens has different Haunt Mascot's over the years.

If we have a mascot, we could build the mascot, and include it in our Haunts. Then, if you see someone with the mascot in their haunt, you know who's a fellow HF Haunter .

And it'd be cool to build our mascot if we have group HF builds. I'm hoping to do one of those in my area if we get enough people together.

    What does everyone think?

    Oh, this could be fun!!

    I'm in!!

Just need to figure out what the mascot will do. Is it just a static image? Will it be something to market for tshirts, mugs, mousepads, etc? Will it be a character that will be integrated into different situations? Lots to consider.

I think we should do this:

Have people submit a bunch of different drawings of what our Mascot could be. Then we have a select group of people vote down to the top 10, and then everyone votes for the Winner. We could use the Mascot in HalloweenForum Logos, on T-Shirts, Mugs, Mousepads, Hoodies, etc., as well as possibly being able to be built by Halloween Forum members to support the HF community!

Remember those of us who are artistically challenge..in other word those of us who suck at making props. Keep it easy enough for everyone to make would be my suggestion.

While we "sort of" had one such as on our banners here: Link To HalloweenForum.com and our initial shirts

I am open to discussion of implementing a mascot for 2010.

It has to be AWESOME. I know the amazing talent on the forum could do it.

Well, if it was a human figure type, that'd be easy to make for the less artistic people - with PVC and Chicken Wire.

But it wouldn't be mandatory to make the Mascot. Anyone could make it if they wished to do so.

I think this is a great idea! Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing a large plushy gargoyle.

Larry will you accept drawings as a mascot design?

And when would the cut-off for submissions be?

This will have to be discussed a little more before specifics are decided.

If this happens, I would have to receive them in a good, usable, high quality digital format.
