I am still trying to decorate for Halloween and my husband is starting to buy for Christmas.

We are currently fighting the Halloween vs. Christmas war.

Does anyone else fight this battle with their family and/ or friends.

I know it doesn't have to be a choice between holidays (Everyone Knows Halloween is the Winner )

I would be happy to celebrate both holidays but he is unhappy about spending money on Halloween and sharing storage space in the garage.

For me it's a no-brainer. Halloween is about fun and creativity. Xmas is about money, stress over money, money and money. OH YEAH and bad depressing music... and money.

You are right Yubney, Christmas is all about the money. We spend a $150 on a Christmas tree that dies in 2 weeks and may set our house on fire. But I get harrassed about buying a $1 bag of cobwebs.

My husband doesn't get halloween either Mistress of the Abyss. My parents used to get Halloween but I think my husband is turning them against me because they keep talking about getting the Christmas cards done early

I don't think I could agree more. Don't worry everybody, no one in my family gets it either. Everyone is always saying things like "Why do you like that sick stuff?" or "How can you watch those gross movies?" and sometimes they even change my computer background when I have things on it that are halloween-like. I bought the computer, but I let everyone use it. I think they could at least let the background be. My mom had all her christmas shopping done two weeks ago. It's like, let the halloween season be! I like christmas too, but that's two months from now. I went to a store a few days ago, and there was a plastic jack-o-lanturn that someone put a santa hat on!

No one in my family will even try to sit through a horror movie with me. My mom barely made it through "Urban Legend". And my aunt always says "Can't you put something more gentle on?" I had to join Halloweenforum or I'd have gone crazy!

I once was all about Christmas....but then everything became money..money... big money.....I have more decorations for Halloween and have tossed alot of Christmas stuff(to goodwill). My hubby doesn't like any holiday so no arguments there....but my kids all make fun of me , now even my 15 year olds girlfriend gets in on the joke making. I may not decorate for Christmas at all this year...

I'm glad my husband just does whatever I want! LOL! I really enjoy both holidays, leaning much more toward Halloween, and I just want my kids to remember Halloween and Christmas with happiness and excitement, so I do my best. Christmas does get more stressful with trying to please everyone and my husband likes to spend more $ on Christmas gifts.

That reminds me...I was in the Dollar Tree yesterday and they were playing CHRISTMAS MUSIC!!!! I almost screamed!

    Ding,ding,ding!

Halloween wins hands down as far as myself and my daughter go, but my husband loves Christmas.

I usually dread Christmas because of the money, money, pressure to find the perfect gift, money thing but I'm not going to let it get to me this year. We've all decided to keep it small and simple this year. No exchanging outside of our own immediate families so I'm actually looking forward to it this year. To quote one of those bad Christmas songs...

"We need a little Christmas, right this very minute"
"Where ya going, baby? You going to get the corpses?"
"Yes, Moe...I'm going to get the corpses..."
