I thought that it was just where I live, but it seems that there are all kinds of problems with wind that starts RIGHT after putting up the Halloween decorations.

Is October an acronym for "wind will knock over your props" or something...ummm. except with the letters OCTOBER..?

So far, so good this season, but last year the wind ripped up my mausoleum's roof.

I didn't get the graveyard done again today because the wind hit. I just don't fell well enough to get out there and fight it. I hate that because we drove through a neighboring town tonight and were looking to see if anyone had decorated, and here I haven't. If I ever get it all up I may just leave it until Thanksgiving lol

    Larry,
here on the hill in Henderson, it seems to be always windy. If it is not nailed, glued, or tied down it will fly.....

Beautiful day here. Too bad the Mrs. decided it was the day to do some serious house cleaning before next weekends events. So finally around 4:30, I head out to set up my FCG crypt. Go out to a light breeze while taking care of some other props, but had to deal with wind gust as I was taking the crypts panels out. Made sure I staked them down good, but life would have been much easier without having to play "Control the kite panels"!!

We put our graveyard out last Saturday. Sunday came and we had one of the worst windstorms this year. Broke many of my tombstones in half. Took inside over a dozen and lost three completely.

The wind was such a factor in last year's display that we renamed our cemetery "Whispering Winds Cemetery" .
