hmmmmmm does the 3 percent rise in revenue take into account population growth, increases in sales tax, and inflation? j/k
On a side note: Who exactly is buying decorations? No one around me even as a pumpkin on their porch.
And how does the revenue generated from Halloween decorations, candy, and costumes compare to the revenue generated from Christmas decorations and stocking stuffers?
Although no one around me has Halloween decorations up, 4 of my neighbors still have their christmas lights up. And my husband just bought new Christmas stockings (Christmas vs. Halloween is a war we wage at our house).Darkness has a hunger that's insatiable

So true...I was watching the halloween special tonight on the history channel and they said 50% of the houses decorate. What planet are they talking about because I've seen only 2 houses decorated in my whole town!

Well I am hoping Walmart and Target have a better selection of Halloween products next year seeing sales are up even in a recession!

Me too. I was super disappointed. My Walmart had 1 aisle for Halloween Costumes and decorations which was almost all for costumes.
Very few places had decorations and the places that had decorations wanted a ridiculous amount of money. (Except for Dollar Tree and 99 cent stores)Darkness has a hunger that's insatiable

Last week on my local news they said Halloween sales were down. They were showing displays of Halloween aisles and I said to my daughter you know why sales for Halloween are down, because for every one aisle of Halloween stuff there were 2 aisles of Christmas stuff. They managed to not get any shots of the Christmas stuff next to the Halloween decorations which really made me mad because we all know what the stores really looked like with the exception of the Spirit store.
