I got my fog chiller all built and painted and ready to go. I was hooking it up to test it and make sure I did everything the right way but neither of my fog machines are working. I ran cleaning fluid through them and that seemed to work fine.

So I turned them off let them cool down and put in the fog fluid and now nothing they just get really hot and nothing. It's very disconcerting and I have no idea what's wrong with them.

I just had the same problem with mine today. It heated up fine and then the pump activated but nothing came out. I stuck a piece of thin wire in the nozzle as I thought it was clogged but that didn't do anything. So I took off the cover and disconnected the pump output line, started it up again and nothing came out of the pump when it ran. I noticed it didn't seem to be pulling in juice from the tank much either, just barely drew up the line. I lifted the line up out of the tank and the fluid in the line ran into the pump and it started working. It's like it lost it's prime or something. But is started working and now works fine. Go figure.

Yeah, when in doubt check all the connections, shake things around a bit. Usually works for me.

I did find dry rot in my small fogger 2 years ago, just replaced the line with tubing from a home improvement store.

There was a pumpkin carving contest on FOod Network and one of the contestants had the same problem with his fog machine - flipped the switch and... nothing.
