I just went to Rite Aid (in Los Angeles area) and all of their Halloween decorations, costumes, and wigs are 50% off. In addition to the 50% off, they are also offering $2 off coupons for Costumes, Masks, and Wigs inside the store.

Has anyone else seen clearance sales around their town ?(especially National Chains)

Does anyone have stock up strategies/ tips for after Halloween?

Most places especially Rite Aid, Walgreens, Michaels, Joann Fabrics, etc. have been running the ads the past week or so. I saw a $5 off coupon the other day, one of the drug store chains I think but I could be wrong.

I find after Halloween sales are a good time to pick up on wigs and accessories since they seem to be plentiful. Even if I don't know what I'm going to do the next year alot of that kind of stuff can be multipurposed. And remember that a lot of kids costumes are sized pretty well for a number of skeleton props. If you are flexible and looking to add to your prop collection, hit the stores the day after or when the first big after holiday sale starts to get best selection. And if you go late into the clearance time frame when the selection if pretty thin remember that props can be repurposed and damaged ones can be mended. Sometimes the form or stand can be a valuable thing to have for a future haunt.

Oh and if you are looking for storage containers for all your new items, I've found that the sales right now for $4-5 a tub are pretty good and assure you containers to be had. I've waited until after and found they were all sold out.

Do you know (or does anyone else) know of any online sales after Halloween or when the Halloween stores start doing clearance?

the doller tree is. lol Party City on the day after everything is on sale like 50% off. i hit them up last year and got some great deals
