There's an original thread here on Bob's website, but I figured I'd just post another heads up about it. There's two more video episodes on his haunt posted and I can't wait to watch them!
With things quieting down after halloween I sat down with hubby and we watched the whole thing from beginning to end. I had seen the first episode when it first came out but got busy afterwards and have been looking forward to some time to spend watching the remaining episodes. Finally. I was afraid if I waited too long it might get taken down.
What a great website piece they put together for us to see and what great haunt productions they did over the years. There's so much to be taken away haunt-wise from watching this, apart from the sheer enjoyment of what they did for all those years. My husband who's not very into halloween said he would have planned a trip down there just for halloween to see it. Now he tells me!! Sounds like 2002 was the last year. I thought Bob's comments near the end about how things had changed in 20 years was interesting, more restrictions on doing it--permits, porta-potty required, etc. I know some people's haunts this past year ran into this also.
I'd encourage anyone reading this thread to check out the videos posted on the site.
Yep- total of five vids and they are all great to watch! Of course, keep in mind this was LaLa land and unbelieveable talent was in on this thing. Even the episodes are put together first class. When you know people, you know people. But it really was a genuine progression of a passion we all share, and it was fun to follow. I saw a lot of me in all that, especially the progression from small to larger. And yes, they got away with....murder.... way back when, so to speak. You can't draw those kinds of crowds any longer without pushing through the red tape, and I can understand that really. In a large sense, there was an innocense way back when. These days, morons prevail and can ruin things in a hurry- hense the red tape.
These are fun to watch. Highly recommend. Thank you to the original poster for pointing them out to us!
