Hi,
I wanted to take a moment to say a few things to our fabulous members and visitors.
My Name is Larry. I am the guy who created and manages Halloween Forum (with some amazing help from some great moderators).
Back in 2002 when we launched, there were some really decent decorations and costumes that were posted. Still impressive.
Over the past few years, the creativeness and talent that has evolved just makes my jaw drop. Members who found this forum last year and really had not done any decorating, have now turned into talented Halloween gurus.
I cannot tell you how impressed that I am with everything that I see this year.
Some members do not know me personally. I am pretty laid back, although I work a lot. The only exception is those who disrespect the forum, members or the few rules that we have to have to help everyone. Without our simple rules, the forum would be full of spam, content would be hard to find because of big flashy signatures, and people would be have flame wars (insult each other). I do my best to enforce rules for the greater good.
I do my best. If ever you need anything, please feel free to ask me, or one of our moderators. If you have a problem or issue, let me know. I cannot fix something that I am not aware is an issue. We want you here. We want you to feel comfortable and come back often.
I am extremely passionate about Halloween and have run Halloween web sites for many years. Personally, being a work-a-holic (and love it), the majority of decorating that I personally do is lighting, the right soundscape and store bought props. I make some things and some props, but really have not made the time that I need. I am very much a perfectionist with décor, so things take me too long. I hope to improve so that I can have more of a mix.
I want to make sure that all members feel comfortable here. I want you to have fun. I want you to share your passion for Halloween.
Are you lurking and not signing up? Why not sign up? We really would love for you to be part of our community. You will help our community by signing up and sharing your thoughts and opinions. Whether you are a beginner, or a pro, you are welcome. There are people on all levels of experience and knowledge.
I want to thank all of you for helping make this a great season. It is your thoughts, ideas and contributions that have made this an amazing place to be. You rock!
Thank YOU!
Larry

Thank You Larry for creating and running this website. I have a blast on the forums both posting and just browsing. I thought I'd leave after Halloween but everyone on here is so helpful and so nice that I will be sticking around all year. Even if the people on the games board won't just give up and let me be last....lol
Again Thank You for investing your time and energy into the Halloween Forum. I really do appreciate it."Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the floor each morning the devil says,"Oh Crap, She's up!"

This really is a great board and we owe you a deeply felt "thank you" for keeping it running (along with your dedicated minions). While I initially came to the board around halloween time last year looking for ideas, it soon became a regular stop long past halloween. Way too much talent, info, pics and new projects to explore to make it a once a year thing. I know I've come away with a better yard as a result and I'm having so much more fun too. We've hacked our first talking prop head to add an mp3 source and I'm making an animated Reindeer/Wolf this year; I have a fog chiller and motion sensor triggers being worked on; my witch's kitchen never looked better and I found some super halloween items this year; I could go on. Never would have happened if I hadn't found HF. Everyone here is great and I learn so much from everyone's contributions. Now if someone here could only make time slow down in October....

Thank YOU, Larry for this wonderful Halloween Forum. This is truly a great place to be and so well moderated. I love that we don't have to put up with disrespectful comments and such. So many great categories to visit to suit anyone's interest. I've been a member since 2003 when I stumbled upon this forum. The props and decorating have certainly evolved since then. The talent and creativity of the members here is truly amazing. I remember being so proud when I made my first tombstones after being introduced to the wonders of foam. I can't believe after all these years of being too afraid to fool around with electronics that I actually have a 3 axis skull that works. Whether it actually makes it out into the yard this year is another story, but it is the first thing I've made that moves! I've been much more active on the forum this year than in years past. So many great projects I want to do. I've gotten great music and sound, great recipes and presentation ideas for food and party decorating, theme ideas I never would have thought of, cool merchandise to be on the lookout for. This forum is a resource treasure!

Thank YOU Larry!! I'm on Halloween burnout now, since my big bash is over, but I plan to hang all year, not like I've done the past 2, where I disappear until July!

So many great, fun people here, me thinks I'll hang around full time!

A couple of years ago I found this site, and like so many others, lurked in the shadows, afraid I didn't have the right stuff, that I had to impress everyone.
One day I needed a question answered and signed up for an account. Well I learned real quick that this forum is truly the best of the best.
Within 15 minutes I had the right answer to the question. Every member here, made me feel at home. Starting out I had very limited experience in half the stuff that was being discussed on the forum. Within a few weeks, I was getting my hands dirty and actually creating props like the big guys.
So lurkers get in here and work side by side with us, we are fun, friendly, and downright nuts, trust me you will fit right in.
Now Larry I want to say hands down you are the HALLOWEEN MAN. To create a website that is everything Halloween, not charge us 1 cent membership, turn around and keep this site up and running, adding new stuff for us halloween fanatics during June, etc.. That takes one special off the wall awesome guy and If you were here, I would not shake your hand, I would give you a great big ole hug. You have taken my passion for Halloween and made it a truly memorable experience.
I wanted to say thank you to all my halloween forum friends. You guys and gals are the heart and soul of this place, without each of you there would be no posting questions and answers here, helping to give advice to newbies, making the props that much better, creating new forums and games. So thank you and lets keep this place, number 1.
