I was originally afraid some of my neighbors might complain about my full size zombies being to scary...no one has complained...on Halloween night when some of the little kiddies are frightened the moms just rush their kids past our house and smile...Others tell us what a great job we did on the house :-)

Oh.. by the way, i had the preschool class here the other day looking for leaves.. they were all ooohing and aweing over everything, one little girl goes I CANT WAIT TILL HALLOWEEN! hahaha.. love the excitement!

That sucks, but being in construction I could see where the towns are coming from. All it would take is for one kid to climb on something, pull on something, or lean on something, and have it result in an injury and Halloween is ruined.
In large scale projects like that its best to get an inspector from the town to come and look over your construction before hand so you have the time to make whatever improvements are needed.
Its one thing if its a couple local kids but if you have 100s of people coming to it you need to follow the same kind of constructions laws (and costs!) as everyone else.
I do feel for these people though.

While I agree that it's a shame that they had to shut down, it would be much more of a shame if a group of kids were hurt or even killed because of the unsafe structure that they were using. Building codes are there for a reason.

I would really hate for my kids (or anyone for that matter) to be walking thru that haunted house covered in black plastic and have it burst into flames....thats why it was shut down...the plastic was not flame retardant.....and fire spreads F-A-S-T.
