Hi Everyone,
I just received my Chauvet Hurricane 1300. However, i'm having some problems. My old fog machine, a 1000 watt light f/x broke last year. I have to say I was disappointed. I had it going through a cooler based fog chiller and I have to say it worked extremely well. So I decided to purchase a professional grade fog machine. However, the problem I have with the machine is it doesn't shoot a continuous amount of fog out at a time even when on the continuous setting. It sends out bursts for about 2-3 seconds and then stops for about 5 seconds and then does another 2-3 second burst and continues the process. This is the problem. I'm not sure if it's defective or thats just how it works or theres a setting I need to adjust. My old fog machine shot everything out at once and worked better through the chiller. Obviously the hurricane performs much better when not going through the chiller and blows away the light f/x but through the chiller its not as productive. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Alex

I'm facing similiar issues with my 1300. The continuous comes on for long burst then reverts to puffs on and off.
The timer option is less than helpfull too. The minimual interval is 30 sec to 1 min and the the duration is 1 sec to 15 sec. But I've yet to get it to function satisfactorily.
The manual button however throws a TON of fog on demand everytime.
As for the chiller, I have to rework my current trashcan/dryer vent model. I was using a 3" piping for the old 700 watt unit. The volume though out of this 1300 is too much at 4" distance to hit that smaller 3" piping on the chiller.
Plan now is 4" piping and adding the ventura to allow the fog machine flow directly into the chiller. How it works. Probably gonna try dry ice too.
