Not to be too controversial but I just don't see how this costume is offensive to anyone.

Its not even depicting humans of any kind.

Not personally, but hardly anything does.

It's supposed to be taken lightly, but people are (sometime unnecessarily) very sensitive these days.

I'd be willing the bet the majority of complaints aren't from illegal immigrants themselves, but over-zealous white people trying to stir the pot or try to show how anti-racist they are by going crazy at every little thing.

Somebody made a comment on the site in the link

"illegal immigrants broke the law and ARE criminals...if they came here properly they would have NO reason to feel ashamed or upset"

I'm not saying i agree, bit political for HF and i'm sure there's some that may take offense.

Personally i'm a traditionalist, halloween to me is more about ghosts and goblins than offensive costumes, but in this day and age the holiday traditions are evolving and changing, and if people can't take it easy and have a laugh once in a while (which most can't these days) it's a damn shame.

I think its a riot.
Pardon me if I don't give 2 s**ts about the feelings of people who sneak into the country and sponge off us. When people show up to complain, arrest them and ship em' back.

I just don't understand the link. Its a complete fantasy costume actually I think designed to ironically make people rethink the phrase itself.

I think it's just a pun. That may be offensive in itself.

There are people who harbor ill will towards immigrants (not just illegal immigrants) who might find it amusing in a malicious way, but certainly not everyone does. I don't really see how it's anything but a play on two different concepts of "alien".

Me, I think its is absolutely funny as hell... I live in Houston, so you can imagine what a large population we have here, so to see this, make me laugh hard... Years ago, my brother use to have a hat that read INS (before they grouped an become ICE) and there were a number of times we would walk into a convenience store that was known to have illegal immigrants in there and the would run like all get out...

I find The Obama Masks offensive, mabey we should pull them too. LOL! The most offensive item in this report is not the costume or the activist, but the people who actually felt this was newesworthy.
