So I want to build a "classic" looking haunted house facade in front of my garage. I am looking for some pics for inspirations. Everything Ive found is either way to elaborate to be a source of ideas or is castle or ship themed.

Any links that could help me?

And by "classic" I mean the second empire look:

I think I would go with that Belleville House. Looks like a good place to start.

Check out my apothecary facade. It's a tower with a mansard roof. Not very difficult to put together, but it looks great (IMHO).

Here is the link to pics of our first facade. It was not very elaborate and definitely not "classic", but it might help you.

STARK Madness Photo Gallery - Facade - 2006 - Haunted House

I built a metal-framed support wall 10' tall with the studs turned sideways (to give them more width for attaching the cardboard). All of the cardboard was from the same size boxes, so the studs were spaced so the cardboard strips would span 3 studs - one at each end and one in the middle. I attached the cardboard with truss-head screws - 5/8" silver screws with very wide, flat heads.

If I had painted the cardboard BEFORE it got rained on, it would look like THIS.
"Well I guess they were wrong then, weren't they?" I-gor

No purple floods. I just have red and green floods. I think it's just a red flood you're seeing, but the camera may have altered the color a bit.

Very cool. I just went through your website and took a look around too, love the .pdf files. My boys totally love Halloween, and will be quite interested in making some neat stuff for next Halloween. We're running out of time now for it - just found this forum, had no idea! :-)

Boys have already been on a Halloween Train ride, heck they put the orange lights up in the two front rooms at the end of Sept! Costumes are ready, SOME decorations out, and up through the house.

Already roasted pumpkin seeds, and made Halloween cookies. Can't believe there's only 13 days left till Halloween, wow - this month is flying by! Still sooo much more fun Halloween stuff to do...

    Thanks!

My Halloween sites are new this year, - one is:
