So today, after coming back from dinner, i check my answering machine to find an unusual message. the message went something like this...
"Hello, um, I know we dont talk much, and your business is all but your own, but, um, I am concerned with what is by your shed. I was doing some yard work and i noticed a, um, black 55 gallon oil drum with the words biohazard and with a biohazard logo on it. Again, its probably not for any concerns, but um, can you please call me back?"
I WAS LAUGHING MY HEAD OFF.
I made a pneumatic popper out of an oil drum, and painted warning with a biohazard logo and the words on it, and its been sitting in my backyard near my shed for like 3 years. This neighbor who called and left the message is behind my house, which their backyard is very overgrown, so im sure this is why they havent seen it.
When i got home, it was too late to call him and explain myself, so it looks like this is what im going to need to do tomorrow.
Im sure if I put a box labeled DEAD BODIES, he would be worried as well. LOL

here is a picture of it minutes after i got the message.
the weather has taken a toll on it.
The barrel used to hold Hydrolic fluid, so the sticker that explained what it was is starting to peel through.
I kind of use it now for a garbage can, as the popper "guts" are now in an old whiskey drum for my pirate scene

OMG that is priceless!

Hope you do call him and put his mind at ease at some point, but I'll bet they'll never look at you the same again!

Yea i do want to make sure i call him first thing in the morning so he doesnt worry or worse, so he doesnt call someone else, like DEP, or HAZMAT or worse, lol.
I have neighbors who call the authorities before calling me first, which is annoying.
for example, a friend of mine was burning wood in his backyard in a burning barrel, it was all contained and simply smoldering. 30 minutes later, 5 firetrucks and a fire chief come driving up looking to put out a fire because the neighbor behind him called the fire department, because they didnt like the smoke. a simple call to him, and he would have put the smoke out, but no, they went right for the fire department.
Lucky my neighbor called me first. I would hate some government agency to walk into my backyard and find the empty biohazard barrel, then open my shed and find all the corpsed skeletons i have drying, THAT would be bad, lol.

Did you ever see the movie E.T.? Do you remember the scene when the government swarmed the house looking for E.T. so as to contain the alien? Tented the house and bio teams went in to decontaminate. While reading your post I could see that happening to you. Definitely talk to your neighbor. He probably isn't sleeping well tonight. Funny story though.

I tell him that you used voodoo to zombifi a goy who used to give you trouble at work and he wouldn't stop trying to eat your brains, so he had to go in the barrel for safe keeping. Then i would tell him the only bad thing is that you can still hear him screaming for brains at night. Then i would ask him if he wanted to learn about voodoo.

lol that's funny, what you need to do is put some UV liquid seeping out and shine a blacklight on it one night. That'd really get them worried

Yeah, tell him not to worry, that the barrel is where you keep old body parts until you can properly dispose of them.
