Wondering if you have any special traditions you observe on Halloween, other than the usual decoratiing, etc..
We always order pizza and wings for dinner. Quick and simple. We have it delivered and we feed our helpers which usually number around 7-9 people. Eat around 4:30 p.m. then go out for a final "briefing", last minute check fog machines, places for scare actors, etc.. Then every one gets dressed and ready for the TOTs. Afterwards, we have a little get together for anyone who wants to hang around. Both my wife and I have co workers that usually stop by to check out the haunt. Usually some snacks/drinks, sit around and recap the evening, before going out again to start breaking it down. Then it's scary movies until the wee hours. The last thing I do before turning in is go outdoors one last time and look at the jack ol lanterns burning. We never blow them out but let them burn out on their own.

We really have no traditions but for the last two year the wife and I have watched the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Maybe we will do it again this year!

I usually go all out for my trick or treaters so that means major work on my end. I always brew up a pot of chili early in the day and we all eat as we get hungry. It is always nice to have a warm and comforting dinner waiting after you have been on the haunted porch for three hours scaring children.
This year the tradition is going by the way side as my tenth annual Halloween party is being held at 9:30 after trick or treating.

Every year during our halloween party we take a break at midnight and walk down the block to the local graveyard.

We have several traditions, I decorate my neighbors panio recidals he host for the past 4 years, I decorate my wifes mothers house past 7 years, my wife takes the kids toting while I stand on the side walk and greet people befor they go to the door to get treats, we have mexica tortilaa pie for supper,past 5 years, my fatherinlaw and brotherinlawand I take in the decor at 945 halloween night and we have a beer each. There are lots of traditions linked to certian props and certian pictures we take each year it is neat seeing how the kids get bigger infront of certian props.

We have an after party after our party lol With the guests who spend the night and the die hard guests that you can't get to leave. Hubby disconnects all the electronic props and makes sure that everything is secure. The morning after we have a clean up party hahaha First we find the kitchen, then have a nice breakfast together and then tackle the rest of the house. Last year we broke the record. Had the inside packed up and clean within 3 hours!
We also allow our guests with children to bring the kids the day after to see the props in the daylight. But even in the daylight, its pretty scary for them. Whimpy dutch kids

If I don't book the day off, I usually work till 5 then rush home and eat. We carve our pumpkins the night before if we have to work the day of, so the seeds are left drying all night and we throw them in the oven for an after dinner snack. Get dressed, put the pumpkins out, then it's just basically me (and hubby if he's not working afternoons) munching in front of the TV all night looking for Halloween type stuff (hockey if there's a game on and I can't find anything good
)
If I book the day off or it's on a weekend like this year, the day is much more relaxed and we carve pumpkins, prep the candy, do a meal in the slow cooker and do pretty much the same stuff if it's on a week day.
So glad it's on a weekend the next 2 years!"And the raven, never flitting, still is sitting, still is sitting
