HGTV is going to air Halloween Block Party on Sunday at 8/7 c. It was filmed here in Alameda, we were contacted to submit photos for consideration for them to do our house but we declined. Saw the video clip and I am so jealous of those who got picked!!! So excited to see my neighborhood and maybe people I know on tv too! Here's the info. The people who were contacted all participated in a Haunt Your House contest last Halloween. The ones I met I told about the forum but I guess they never joined. We didn't submit pics because we didn't have the time, they emailed one day before their deadline and they wanted tons of pics. From the chatter I've heard around town, they got to keep all the props. We have a Victorian and our address is 1313. It would have been perfect!

This show was ok, but I thought it was going to be a show where they had gone around filming houses done and towns and such from last year.

I thought it was a good show, I want to know where they got the foam skeletons for the bride and groom skele's I've been looking for something like that for years.

I was really disappointed by the show

I wish they presented more ideas that the average homeowner could use

The obviously had HUGE budgets, and large crews working behind the scenes.... 3 days... are you kidding me?

The only display that truly seemed achievable was the circus side show... and that was really unspectacular... I wonder if they had a lower budget?

The Vampire liar had some great ideas but they really didn't show how to build any of them

And most of the items in the Day of the Dead house probably cost more than my entire budget for Halloween
