Thread: Local TV station having a Halloween contest

Yes, it's that time once again. A local TV station is having a 'Best Dressed House For Halloween' contest. Sadly, there's no prize money involved,... just pride. That and the winning display will be the scene of a segment on TV on Halloween night. (Though I think that just means a quick 'B' roll shot in the background during the local weather segment.)

So what I would like to ask you, my fellow haunters, is see for yourself, and if you decide that my display is better, help out by voting for me.

In one sense, I have a better chance of winning , as this year, so far, only two other entries exist... (last year there were 6 or 7)

Not much to brag about here, just about a dozen or so of those giant Gemmy Inflatables (and not much else). Doesn't show a whole lot of creativity or style...

This other entry is going to be my biggest hurdle, as they went to a LOT of effort to make all their own corpses/zombies, rather that just pluck something off a shelf and put it in the ground...(not that there's anything wrong with that )



I also have to contact the station for a clarification of sorts. They states on the website, 'Submit photos by 10/21' with 'voting taking place between 10/22-10/25' But when I u/l my pic , I got a message thanking me and asking me to 'remember to vote on/by 10/29'...

So if you agree that mine is the better of the three, maybe you could help out by going to Halloween House

My address is on 'South Park Lane'. I'll post any updates here, since there are still about 6 or seven days left initially until the voting starts.

Well the deadline for submitting photos was today, (there's a image size limit of 1mb) Three more entrants to vote for, starting tomorrow...
