Well, I thought I would let everyone know what has been going on with me lately. I had planned on an even bigger display this year. Well, two weeks ago, I flipped a garden tractor on top of me. Messed my back up really good. Then, my central heat went out on me and I am in the process of getting that fixed. Then finally the worst, two days ago, my Mother was diagnosed with bone cancer. If it wasn't for bad luck, I would'nt have any luck at all. So, all in all, I guess I will pass Halloween this year. After every thing that has happened the past two weeks, just don't think I will be able to do it this year.

Sorry to hear the bad news. I hope you and your mother have a speedy recovery. Most of all family first.

oh no! I cringed when I read "flipped a tractor" - I hope you're going to be okay and not in too much pain.
I am also so very sorry about your mother's diagnosis.
(and can empathize with the heat being out as I just went through A/C out for a week in 90˚ temps)
Your family has definitely reached its quota for bad luck - I truly hope that things start getting better for you and yours.I'm a Halloween Bride! 10/31/2002

So sorry to hear of your recent misfortune. Take a year off and re-group. Halloween will be around forever but you have enough on your plate right now. Good thoughts coming your way!

Very sad news about your Mum and about your back. I hope your luck will turn around very soon. There's always going to be a Halloween, this year you just need to take care of yourself and your loved ones.

Best of luck recovering, you and your mother. I'd advise to take it easy and perhaps drop in on someone else's Hallowe'en party..it's very relaxing to just walk in and not have to organise anything. I did so when my father died, also dressed up as a white witch, out of respect for, 'cause he was a very religious man. But I can say that it felt good to join the fun, without all the trouble of throwing your own party. And it takes your mind of things...
Good luck!

Sorry to hear about your back........that is painful and and take the time to get well. Also sorry to hear about your Mom and medicine has come a long way with treating all kinds of cancer. Sometimes you go for a long stretch without anything and then ya get everything at once....hang in there!

Get well soon! Just think, now you have all kinds of time to come up with bigger/better ideas for next year and fine tune what you had planned for this year. It's all good. Halloween haunts are just a visual display of what's in our minds and hearts! Speedy recovery for you all!
It's Halloween, what more do you need to know.
