Par for the course if you ask me. I walked into our local Spirit Store looked around for about 15 minutes and left. The only piece in the store that intrigued me in the least was the Myers Prop, but in no way enough to buy it unless I could have picked him up for $50, LOL.

Only thing they have been good for this year was local access to liquid latex. Other than that...nada.
It's Halloween, what more do you need to know.

It's not just them.
It's kind of a vicious circle - stores have a limited selection and higher prices, so they don't sell as much, so next year they don't stock as much and have to charge more...
I really hope the economy picks back up, because the selection for Halloween stuff out there right now was one of the most disappointing I've seen in years.

I went to my local spirit and picked up the basics I was looking for such as a bottle of blood, Reaper Robe, and a raven. My dad however bought some fake eyes thinking I could make them look real which I did (have one hanging out of the beek of the raven, and he wanted those peekin peepers.

I picked up some strobes, used my friends employee discount. They are the big strobes but really dont put to much light out. Might give em away after this season or keep for a prop. Our store is forever changing, new props. We have a hannibal lector Micheal Myers. Some actual homemade props that the owner made, there was a pre corpsed bucky, and a couple well done corpsed bluckies. I am really happy with ours, it is all management in my opinion. Up the road we have one in an old circuit city, what I have heard is that it is very good also. Look at it like a fast food joint(McDonalds or BK) some are great and some are horrible. It all comes down to management.
