I wish that there was a website that would list out all the home haunts and/or best trick-or-treat areas?

People could list/rate their favorite houses/areas?

Does anyone know if something like this is out there?

If one did not exist. What would be some key features you would like to see on it? Both from an end user and a haunter placing his / her haunt online.

It would have to be totally voluntary and maybe you would want people to register or something in order to see real addresses or directions. I know a lot of people would not be too sure about this, but many would be totally down!

I've searched for this sort of a site before but with not much luck. Always takes me to pro haunted house listings.

Thanks Skullboy....Looks like that website is what I was talking about. It looks like there are some newer listings...but most are older.

It is just interesting to me that the local news/papers do not provide folks with a "top ten" trick or treating area. I know that close to where we live there is a street "Canterbury Court in Plano TX that for the past few years received an estimated 3000 (yep that is THREE THOUSAND) TOTs on Halloween! The local police even help with the traffic :-)

Just thought it would be a fun idea.

Here is a link I found to a story that our local news did for the Canterbury Court folks in 2007:

hauntedillinois.com has a great list of home and non-profit and pro haunts in Illinois. you can add any home haunt or event for yourself to it.

obviously, this doesn't satisfy everyone, but is great for those of us here!

That would be very helpful in October! And the home haunters would get more traffic. They could list if it's a amature, moderate or expert home haunt, pro haunt, aprx how long it takes to walk through. How many actors are used... Will candy be offered afterwards?

Maybe a search could be set up where you search by your zip code, and then only get directions if you search their area?
