I am a sale/coupon person and will not pay more than 16 cents an oz. on chocolate.
Curious as to what other people are willing to pay.

If the chocolate is made by Palmer's AND fudge- filled; I'm willing to give up my second born child for it. LOL Ok, I only have 1 child, but it really is good.

I buy specialty chocolate made locally by a candy store called The Chocolate Bar. They have a sister store called Candylicious, and I get candy from them as well. This is just for the party stuff - not for mass distribution for TOTs. It is expensive, but worth it - I get half sized white, milk and dark chocolate skulls, miniature mummies, etc... all heavenly.
I generally don't look at exactly how much I spend on the TOT chocolate/candy - I'll compare the prices in-store to see which one has the most ounces per bag for the price, but I'm not sure just exactly HOW much per ounce I'm paying.

My local rite-aid had buy-one-get-one-free on full size candy bars last week with no limit. It works out to about 20 cents an ounce or 44 cents a bar. That's actually quite a good price, especially since you can pick whichever ones you want, including many that are never sold in a multi-pack (including Milky Way Dark, my personal favorite). For comparison, full sized (1.8-2.2 oz) bars are normally 88 cents each individually just about everywhere, and between 48 and 62 cents each (even at costco), in multi-packs. My wife questioned whether the box of 30 Milky Way Darks were for me or for the Tot'ers...I answered her by pulling out a box of 30 butterfingers (her favorite).

Chocolate is one of the things I don't skimp on for my personal supply. I buy Lindt bars generally just under 2.00 a bar. On a lessor quality I won't get less than Dove.
I'm not so much into sweets so I'll take fresh fruit over them any day except for the occasional chocolate. What doesn't kill you can still make you walk funny.
