hey all,
Im also planning to be a mummy for actual halloween. any ideas on whats the best fabric to use? right now im steering towards cheesecloth.

Muslim works well. Easy to tear and cheap.

I would add in some "creepy cloth" type fabric strips to mix it up a little...either a creme or grey color

My other half had one of those glass heads you can get from pottery bar. At least about 20 years ago you could. I wrapped the head with medical bandaging tape and left some of the face open with frayed ends. Well, after about 10 years the thing still looks great and has aged wonderfully. I highly recommend it. I'm sure it's not on the cheap end but, you can add a little at a time to the cheap cloth and it binds nicely to keep everything from coming apart in storage or moving around.
