I was looking around and I found Propylene Glycol by the gallon at Tractor Supply Company. It is $24 a gallon and is called Dionne Keotosis Treatment Gallon Cattle Medicine. I don't find it overly cheap because of the amount you have to use but someone might want to use it.

I wonder as strange as it may sound if the glycerin in suppositories can be used? Seems it should be completely safe but I'm no doctor. I'm just guessing it's similar or the same as glycol... it seems that is what the feed store is selling it for but again I'm no scientist. The infant versions are little bottles so premeasured and no solid shells of the capsule to melt.

I'm just thinking outside the box on this one here. LOL

Actually you can get food grade glycerin online for about $30 a gallon. This isn't a bad price because of the ratio you mix the glycerin. Now the Propylene Gycol I read that you mix it about 90% ratio with distilled water which makes the price about the same as you pay already made.
