Anyone have any experience with these stores? Spirit Halloween has always been the predominant store in my area, but this year these stores have popped up. From what I can see, they have about the same quality of props as Spirit at at about the same price or lower.

Do they also have a 1/2 price sale on 11/1?? (I hate paying retail)

I get Halloween USA, Spirit and Halloween Express in my area. They all seem to be the same to me with many of the same items at nearly the same price. Spirit has the best coupon right now with 20% and H. Express with 10%. I haven't seen Halloween USA coupon yet but I did go to one today and bought a couple of spiders. My area is lucky for the Halloween stores. I have 7 within easy distance to my house and 2 that me and the kids bike to during Sept. and Oct. Party City is making a good move into the Halloween business and had a really good coupon last year in the Sunday paper or if you're on their mailing list. I think it was a 50% one.

Our Halloween USA had a friends and family sale tonight and gave us 30% off. This is the first time we've had any halloween store around here so we are anxious to know about 11/1 too!

We've had Halloween USA in our area for many years now. I've always liked them, and occasionally purchase a few props from them each year.

This year is different. Almost the entire store was devoted to costumes. Out of some 20 aisles, only 2 had a few small props/foggers displayed. I think my local Party City has more in terms of Halloween decor/props.

We've had Halloween USA's around this area for many years. It seems like they have a pretty good selection this year, plus their prices are lower than in years past. They had lots of props at the one where my mom and I stopped, including the giant jester marionette that Spirit is also carrying (man, I wish I had money). It was very easy to tell, though, that the workers didn't truly care about Halloween; they didn't go out of their way to help us, or even greet us, for that matter. When I worked there, I loved it and I'm sure my enthusiasm showed (I wish I could say the same for my current job...).

I know what you mean about the help...there were 2 girls when I went that looked like they were bored out of their minds. Meanwhile a little boy was running around and up to people telling them about the great deals/items. We assumed he was the son of an employee but saw him later in the parking lot leaving with his mother and brother...he was just a VERY excited customer...LOL!

I've shopped at Spirit Halloween a fair bit and for the most part the service and prices are reasonable.

Ok, so do they have the traditional 50% off sale the day after?
