I am thinking of buying 2 Chauvet 1250 's @ $40 for both. The gamble is they were not spitting out fog when they were tested. They made the sounds and went through the motions but no fog. The juice was left in there maybe a year or more. Anyone fix 1 of these before, if I can fix them it would be a major score.

I don't know anything about this but here is the user's manual and it says that it needs to be cleaned wih vinegar and water. If you haven't read this already maybe it will help.

40 for both!? Well, my guess is the intake hose has come loose, or is clogged. I would gamble and chance it! Besides if you can't get them to work, maybe you can use the parts from the other to make at least one work. Just remember, gambling is Fun...so do it!

I'm not a gambler, but 40 bananas for potentially TWO Kick-Axe foggers? Those are pretty good odds. Try to learn more about them, like, who is selling them? The guy's wife after she kicked him out of the house? They could be cursed...

I've also heard to try cleaning them with vinegar and water, but what I was wondering was are you suppose to power up the fogger to try pumping this mix through or to just soak seperate pieces. If you try pumping the cleaning solution through with a blockage I would be concerned that the pump would burn out?. What is the water vinegar mix ratio?

Thanks I'm gonna try whatever the manufacture suggest before I try anything else. The story behind them is they were used in a pro-haunt then stored in a warehouse. How much they were used and how long they were stored I'm not sure of ,but they look to be in good shape. I'll update this once I have an answer.

    UPDATE:

One Chauvet fogger up and running and two more to go. Parts were soaked in a mixture of vinegar and water, and some elbow grease brought one back to life. We were also lucky enough to get a working air cannon for $40. We will be cleaning the other 2 tomorrow hopefully with the same results. I would say my gamble has already paid itself off.
