With less than 90 days to go. We have our "Paper Warehouse"(party supplies) just starting to set up. The local Michaels and a few of the dollar stores around here. And according to The Rave she saw a store in St. Paul that was almost fully set.

We've been using the thread below for merchandise watch this year... not sure how that happened, but it's got the most current stuff and tons of posts already.
First Halloween sighting in stores...

Maybe to avoid multiple threads on the merchandise watch and people either duplicating efforts or missing out on stuff, the webmaster can start a new thread at the beginning of each year and place it in the special grayed area at the top of the forum section--like I've seen done with TV shows coming up. That way it will be one of the first things you see and people will be more likely to posts under helping to consolidate the information. Maybe it can even be colored somehow to draw everyone's attention. I know this is a very popular type thread on this board as everyone wants to know about what's hit the shelves as soon it's out. Maybe something like this can still be done for this year...moving the First Halloween Sighting in Stores thread there now? Hey, webmaster...is this doable??? Personally I like the format of "Halloween Merchandise Watch 200..." because it gives the year and clearly indicates it's about merchandise you might want to look for and buy for your haunt. It also helps to avoid current postings of merchandise under previous years' threads which has happened this year.

Thoroughly depressing out here in the booneys. Michaels is gone. Hobby Lobby has 20+ aisles of Christmas and three measely ones of fall & Halloween decor. No signs of the seasonal Halloween store yet this year, I hope they show up.

I think it's time for a Merchandise forum with threads devoted to each retail store with the current year and/or company like Jim Shore, Bethany Lowe, etc. It'd be a lot easier to sort through.

It's probably too late for this year to make changes (imagine it would be a nightmare if not impossible to thread stuff together) but would love to see something more easily findable in one general place. The annual shopping thread gets so large really quickly. It's not bad if you keep up with it or write down what page you last read somewhere so you can go back and pick up from there. I kind of like all of it in one place even if I don't get the same stores. I just like seeing the mdse to see what's out there and pull ideas from. I can see where some people who don't live in areas where some stores are would prefer not to wade through places they can't shop at anyways.
