Ha ha ha--I'm sure it was just a brief bit made up by The Onion people. I'm sure it's not a real song. I wish it were. I'd love it if there were traditional Halloween songs!

The Onion is a parody site. This is obviously a parody on the whole "everybody has lost the spirit of Christmas" thing. It's funny b/c instead of talking sweetly about Jesus and Christmas carols, they're talking about hiding children from demons by putting them in costumes and the like, still in that sweet syrupy voice.
I have a weird, wry sense of humor and this just totally tickled my funnybone.
