Hi:
I have started to create my Egyptian Tomb room for this years haunt. I have secured two wireframe deer for my dog like Anubis statues and was looking for some ideas on skinning. The statues will be supported on stands and will be in the layed down position.
Paper mache is out. It is not my style. Fiberglass seems to be messy and too much work. I was thinking using a thin rubber liner (like pond material from home depot) and gluing or vulcanizing somehow. Any thoughts or ideas. Maybe as the base form should I look for something else? Thought the frames would be good. I am cutting them around the body area to taper ribcage so they are more lifelike.
Thanks in advance.

Perhaps monster mud burlap and then smooth down to look like skin?

I was thinking MM as well but you would need to coat the existing frame with chickenwire before you applied the MM.
