    Hey,

I got myself a rotary tool a the weekend for a bargain of 9.99....

But I do not have any uses for it.....

So far its just sitting there being used on stuff because i am bored....

What uses can it be used for?

    Hey Rugs..
A Dremel is a really useful tool..It's probably the mainstay of many hobbyists arsenal.
Did yours come with any attachments?
you can get a wide range of attachments for cutting, grinding, sanding, polishing, drilling, engraving..so many different uses. The attachments should be readily available from your local tool supplier or somewhere like Focus, B&Q or homebase, in the tool aisles.
If you have any problem finding them, give me shout.
I think that if you asked most members here, none of them would be without their Dremel multi-tool.
    I know I certainly wouldn't.

I agree Baron, I love my Dremel, I wouldnt be without it. My favorite things to use are the drum sander, the fiber cut off disc, and the large engraving bit. They are my mainstays. Great for fast carving into wood.

Tombstones! Here's four ways I use my Dremel for them:

Routing bases. Must get the invaluable multi-purpose cutting attachment!:

Cutting epitaphs (with the multi-purpose cutting attachment):

Making a channel for the PVC pipe in the center (for inserting rebar to keep upright during windy weather):

With grinding bit to make smooth carving cuts:

Always wear a mask for these projects and use at the low speed (higher speed will melt the foam). Did I say wear a mask? WEAR A MASK!

Dremel is a fantastic tool. I use it to sculpt all of my tombstones.

It's also excellent for wood working, the polishing heads are nice, and I have an attachment that helps cut in and remove grout (not really Halloween, but great for tile work and regrouting).

My dremel has been used many times. I've used it to open up air horns on carburators, cut off lug studs on a car. Many uses building tombstones. smoothing out inperfections on wheels. Its got alot of uses.

Used to use it to chase ToTs with, but then they were not really afraid of the mad man with the dremel and just ran far enough from me that the extension cord wouldn't reach them. They then taunted me mercilessly until I lunged at them, pulling the plug, and then they beat me with thier bags of candy until I gave them extra treats. I have since upgraded to a chainsaw!

WOW, I guess I need to get one too. The tombstones look really easy to make with this.
