okay so heres my problem: I like the idea of using my backyard for my haunt but want to use my front yard because weve always done it there. our yard has a big open area but our front yard is more rectangular and odly shaped. I personaly like the front yard becuase people might think that becuase theres nothing in our front yard we arent doing anything. comments please. (ill make a diagram later)

Perhaps a few "attraction" props out front, leading to the path to the back would still get the idea across.

I've used scare-actors out front to direct people to the path and back yard with great success. ...Although you may need to check on them to make sure they aren't chasing tots down the road...

Sounds like the front should be made into an entrance.

"Entrance" is aweful loose here, as well.

Just a little something to set the mood out front, with maybe an actual 'entrance' at the gate to the back.

Can be actors, can be props. Just a little something to gain interest in seeing the rest.

Orange rope lite...that's what I use to mark the path that I want people to walk on...

I think if you light it, and have someone pointing out which way to go, you shouldn't have to worry. Once the train of people start coming they'll follow each other to where you want them to go

Well we were goin to try to have someone out front or massive signs but the other thing is that becuase its on a saturday (we set up on halloween so there is alot of stuff that is placed just as we decorate but we try to plan) and hopefuly i wanted to put a sign on the corner of our street announcing our display and hopefuly setting up in front would attract people going by.

We use a lit up garden arch with a welcome sign hanging on it. Also I have lots of static props down my side yard so the trail can be seen. We decorate the front too. As mentioned above the crowds will follow.

Unfortunatly we most likely wont have time to make static props for the front if we use our back. we have like 5 animated things to build and like 20 other large projects after that so i guess ill just have to see what happens.
