So I have 3 weeks till my babies due date, and I'm hoping to get the framing done of my new cemetery columns. I didn't get to them last year, due to my Mom dying in the summer. So this year I'm very motivated to get this done.

I went to Home Depot today to buy my 2x2's and 1x3's and needles to say I got a lot of looks. Here's a woman that looks like she is ready to pop (I have a very large tummy, and none of my maternity clothes fit me) up on a platform ladder searching through the pile of wood to find the best peices. It was a funny site for sore eyes. But when your a haunter you are a haunter. Nothing will stop you from building.

well, first off, congrats on the pending arrival of your little haunter, !
And , I can imagine the looks you got while on the ladder looking for wood, I am sure you made some folks nervous, worried you might fall! Good ;luck getting to the framing of your columns, if not before the little one comes, maybe when the little one naps?
Also, my sympathy on the passing of your mom, having lived thru that myself when I was fairly young, it is hard,I feel it changes you forever.

Thanks so much bethene for congrats and kind words. It does change you forever. I actually found out I was pregnant the day she passed. Which has made it even harder.

I have to clear the ladder thing up, it wasn't a regular ladder. It was a platform type ladder you go up 5 steps and there's lots of room to move around. It's just if you walked passed me you could see the belly.

Hey, congratulations Mummy!! Everyone probably thought you got lost looking for "BABY Depot". LOL Better take it easy when you're working on the framing. Don't want the baby to decide to come early!
Good Luck! I hope you can finish your framing before the big day.

Haha @ Dave.. that Baby Depot thing cracked me up!

13, congrats on making it so far, its almost happy time!!! I would definitely be working on papier mache if I were in your position... I know towards the end, I didn't even want to MOVE sometimes, and sitting at a table with hands covered in goo would be just the ticket for me!

Good luck soon, I will keep you in my thoughts!

Congrats - Hope the big day goes off with no problems. My sister just had a little boy a month or so ago, and the little bugger sleeps alot (of course just not at 2 am) lol, so youll have alot of time to get some stuff done. Make sure to post lots of pics of both baby and columns BEST of luck

Congratulations on your baby! Funny story, I have a mental image of a lady with a huge belly up on a platform lol.

Babies are so much fun! I have two teen boys now and I miss them being little. If you're having a daughter, you could always get her a doll to play with...
