Thread: Not allowed to wear costumes at work?

I just learned they won't let use wear costumes at work on Halloween. Weird, since they did let us do so last year, but then we didn't yet have our current store manager. It kind of sucks since I've been working on my idea that was postponed from last year, but since I get out early, I will bring it with me and keep in the car until I punch out for the day, and put it on then. I'm sure that won't be a problem, since I'll be off the clock. Anyone else having this problem? And it sucks that most other stores allow this.

halloween is over...sad but true.

i guess a workplace can make rules as they wish but if enough other people want to do it, and their are guidelines maybe they will let you.

GUidelines at one place i worked was it could not interfere with our job, and could not be offensive.
