I have had a yard display for a few years. The first year I bought a $1 cd from Target. The second year I had a cd given to me. The third year I downloaded a couple things online.

The issue...none of them made me happy. I don't know what I am looking for, but I want that soundtrack that shows individuality while being scary and haunting and eerie I want the sound that helps make my haunt memorable.

Can anyone offer any suggestions? Please.

    Thanks

I was super frustrated by sound effects cd's too. This year I mixed my own that is subtle and eerie.....perfect for my graveyard. I downloaded a free sound editing program called WavePad. It allows you to do some really cool stuff and it was easy to figure out how to use!! Mine has a Midnight Syndicate song in the background, a bubbling couldron (for my witches stirring the cauldron) the occasional witches chant, dogs barking, far off thunder and bell tolling midnight. I put it on a cd and just have it on repeat.

    Midnight Syndicate.

They have awesome music for haunting - and lots of variety. I have 2-3 of them in addition to some of the classic spooky stuff (march of the marionettes, night on bald mountain, etc....)

    Midnight Syndicate Online Store

has short samples of their stuff so you can see what fits with your haunt.
