Recently, lots of folks are looking into glowing items, not just bottles of liquid for visual effect, but also vaseline glass and tonic water for use on the dining table.

I'm thinking of gathering some cheap, clear glass platters, saucers, bowls and plates.
These would be given a coat of fluorescent (sp?) paint on the underside, well away from any food stuffs. This way, the platter of radioactive beef ribs at the zombie party could be served on a brightly glowing plate, under a blacklight, of course, but the meat would not be in contact with the paint. It's an attempt at a glowing table without having to hunt down antique vaseline glass.

    What do you think?

No reason it shouldn't work (unless your glass blocks UV light for some reason) you could even reverse paint different designs on them under where the food will sit so they uncover it while they eat.
