i was talking with the owner of spookshop while in bellingham and learned that using clear nail polish would increase the effects of your latex props...making blood look more real...can't wait to try that!...anyone here know if this works well?

I just use a 50 50 mix of water and glycerin in a spritz bottle and it gives the effect a wet look.

If you look in my gallery of the make up test most of them were sprayed with 1 small spritz of that mix and by the way you can get the glycerin at any drug store. Dont spray too much though or the blood will run off. Just a small mist is all it takes.

I would be hesitant to use nail polish on latex props because of the chemicals in it. I'd be afraid that it would dry out or break down/eat the latex over time.
