I've got some great pumpkin light strings but the designer screwed up and didn't allow you to daisy chain them to each other. Are there any issues with splicing two light strings together?

It should be fine if it's two wires. I've done that for my flickering candle lights. If it's three wires, well, that's above my pay grade.....

What is the wattage of the bulbs and how many are there on one strand?
(Wattage of bulb x number of bulbs)/ Volts = Amps
Take the amperage and multiply by the two strands you are splicing.
If the total is less than 15A then you should be fine.

Don't know what type set you have but I once tried to shorten a set of mini lights by removing some lights and soldering the wires back together. The bulbs burned brighter but started burning out very quickly so I guess it depends on how its wired. (Don't remember why I did this as these things are cheap-Musta been bored).

Texmaster,
How many lights are on your string? Are there 3 wires or just 2 coming from the plug in? If there are only 2 wires, then you CAN, but expect your bulbs to be at half light. Remember, string lights are wired in a series. Meaning, if there are 10 bulbs in your set, each bulb is rated at approximately 12 volts. Also, the "2" wires are really only one wire that loops back to the other prong on the plug in.
In a nut shell, ummmm, you probably can't.

Just 2 wires. I'd say no more than 10 lights per string.

get some extension cords. And some zip ties. Splicing them together would be WAY too much trouble.
