Origin of Ornamental Lawn Hyenas?

Can anyone share what the origin of the avoid the house with the ornamental lawn hyenas joke is? I have been searching and cannot find any references to them besides the top 10 houses to avoid. If it is a film does anyone have screen caps?

I don't think it's any reason specifically, I guess whoever made it up just thought hyenas were scary.

OK, thanks. I was expecting it to be a famous movie scene I had never seen. Since there is no canon lawn hyena I guess I have free reign on the design.
