I had a thought today about the lack luster halloween goodies this year. Could it stem from all lead tainted toys from china this year. It just seem that every week another product recall with lead paint. And also the pet food recall that happen this year too. If you look at the manufacturers name on the props you'll find more than likely it was made in China. It comes down to dollars and cents. I can't believe that the big stores would just shake off halloween as it would a fad. From every thing I've seen about halloween its like several million dollar holiday, only top by Christmas. I going to keep my fingers cross for next years toys. Long live the spirit of halloween.![]()

Hmmm, that's an interesting theory that I've not yet considered. I guess it's possible. Good points.

Can't say I've noticed it in my area. The drug stores are full as usual and it seems more seasonal Halloween stores opened this year.

I wonder if we only think it is not a good year for halloween stuff. we all think we are behind in all our decorating, but to the rest of the 'normal' world... Its not even october yet!.
