Do you think there is a problem with having a Halloween Party on November 1st? My friend stole my original date before I could send my invites out and Halloween night is just too hard with people working and coming in from out of town. I honestly don't see anything wrong with it. I mean, technically, it is Halloween weekend!
Just wanted to get opinions from the Halloween experts!![]()

This idea is good...instead of a "Halloween" party, theme it more towards Day of the Dead....
but of course, I am one who takes it ALL down after the last TOT is gone and not a thing of Halloween is up on November 1st. (My Christmas tree comes down Christmas night too

Our Party is set for November 1st.
Gives us the extra time - things should be already set from Halloween, Can concentrate on food and own costumes....I think having it Nov 1, is a plus for us this year.Today the Pond. Tomorrow The World!
All this has Happened Before and will Happen Again

May have 2 parties. One on the 18th and one on the 1st, if I get my way

I would rather do a party the day after or before. It's just too hard to make a party with all the tot's coming by and trying to set up and tear down. We have a very large party the weekend after because, the owner of the house we have it at always has his party on Halloween weekend.

Thanks everyone! I feel better now. I am getting a better response now that I have changed it too!

I had this same question two months ago.
I think that you'll have a better turnout on Saturday, November 1 - you can make it a Day of the Dead party. I ended up sending invites for October 31 and am seeing that a lot of people who live farther away are thinking twice about coming since it's a workday, they have to rush home, get dressed, whatever. Anyway, it's all dependent on the group you're inviting. You should be fine with November 1.

We are having ours Nov. 1 and doing a Day of the Dead theme too. It is just too hard with tots coming by and such to do it on Halloween night. What will do next year when Halloween is on a Saturday?!
13 is my lucky number
