Any ideas for a swamp theme?
I have a small narrow hallway (in the shape of an L) that I want to do a swamp theme in. There's 2 closets in the hallway that I can put stuff in. In one I'm putting a hanging swamp monster. I'm also draping creepy looking fabric in the hallway walls and am going to use some fake vines. And I'm currently making a man-eating plan (saw ghoul friday's post/idea). But I'm open to more ideas. Any ideas appreciated.

Im doing a swamp also, I used camo from the hunting dept to cover the walls and hang vines from. I made a gator from paper mache and made him a pnuematic pop out. I also made an old hunting man, with a gun, camo poncho, rubber boots, hat and a flickering lantern. Oh and I have tons of snakes laying around too.

Can you make paper mache tree branches and then stick them to your walls using the 3m wall stickers? They hold up pictures and such, can't remember the name. Then you can make half trees that run the vertical of your hallway and it will look like part of the swamp. Then hang snakes and vines. You want plenty of moss, mosquitoes and their noises. Run a couple of humidifiers so it's real steamy and humid. You can hide them in the closet under fake rocks by draping grey or brown fabric over them or mold with coat hangers. You can have a few piles of gillie suits in the hallway with one person in one of them that grabs at people to scare them. Hope these few quick ideas help.

Why not take inspiration from Pirates of the Carribean 2?
The swamp witch's area should give you lots of ideas & things to recreate.

You could put camo netting on the ceiling to make it look like a canopy, and attach some leaves and hanging fabric. Definately have to have spiders and snakes and other little insects. I can't find any videos on youtube, but if ou've ever seen the 10th kingdom there's a disenchated swamp you could use for inspiration

How about getting some dry ice? Fairly easy to find and very easy to pull off! Won't hurt carpet/flooring!

For my swamp hallway, I put some green jute netting draped low over the ceiling with some leaves attached and green creepy cloth on the walls, plus I setup two swamp monsters and have a frog, snakes and an allligator head. Plus I'm working on a man eating plant. So far it's looking great. If I have time, I might make a painted boardwalk on the ground using construction paper and paint (using ghoul friday's fake wood technique).
