..until it's time to get everything out. I have GOT to stay Away from the props and tutorials forums. Sheesh, they're killing me. Just saw the pvc candle tutorial and thought "OoOh, I could do that, those rock" but I had to slap my hand before I started making a list of things I'd need. I get the feeling I'll be adding stuff to my haunt up until the 31st of October

Right now I'm wrapping up my copy of the "scarecrow from a cauldron". He's on the counter drying, waiting to be primed. I'm ironing out the plans for his body and can't wait to get him out. Otherwise- at this point in time- I'm kinda done with my homemade stuff. What all do you guys have left to do, or what are you working on (or up to)?
"Where ya going, baby? You going to get the corpses?"
"Yes, Moe...I'm going to get the corpses..."

    I hope you post pictures.
I know what you mean about wanting to do more props.I have decided from here on out is projects for next year. The list is long. But I will work on them all year which keeps me in the spirit.I want to get out of buying store bought. So lots of paper macheing this year.
We are going to start setting up next week.
We have to finish my fcg crypt just little odds and ends and trip back to lowes.
Ohhh and today was my first day using a power tool a band saw and I loved it.

I'm really enjoying making my own stuff. The store bought just doesn't do it for me nowadays..mind you I'm still a complete newb!

Ok, here's my scarecrow thus far. I wish I'd thought of taking pics as I progressed, but I didn't. I'm totally copying off of daveo though, I only made a few minor adjustments. Instead of paper beneath the duct tape I used plastic bags. And instead of carpet latex I was cheap and took the long route- mod podging the newspaper and then I'll coat it
with Kilz. Then paint over that with outdoor acrylics.

His awesome original can be seen here..
Scarecrow from a cauldron tutorial part 2
I don't expect mine to be nearly as cool!

Frenchy, back at the 50 day mark I felt I had all the time in the world to slack..now I'm out of time

You know what's scarier than knowing we have less than 40 days??? Knowing that it could rain all that day!!!! AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been thinking about that, too. Especially as I coat the above guy with Kilz, lol. It could rain all month *applies another coat*

    Mod Podge is a glue/sealant

I just dipped the newspaper and smoothed it on. I used a box cutter to cut the cauldron- and I have the blister to prove it
