Unfortunately, I've been soo busy lately that Halloween has kinda taken a back burner. Working 6 days a week, and getting most of my projects done early this year, I've been buying time and pulling things out of storage. I haven't been out to the stores in awhile. I went out today and got some cards. The store that I went to had their Halloween stuff out, and although it's always the same stuff, I'm getting excited a bit more.

Seeing everything on display really got the blood thumping again! Thank god I'm working a lot of overtime so I can get some good deals.

Just venting a little excitement. GOD I love this time of year!!

I too, had given up this year and was going to sell off my stuff. But then, while out running errands several weeks ago, hubby and I passed a big sign that read "Spirit Halloween---Coming Soon!" That was all it took!

Halloween is back on and bigger than ever!!!! WOOOOHOOOOO!!!!!!!

I've been knee deep in OT for the past month so I haven't been able to do anything here recently... glad I did a lot earlier in the year now.

That is almost over and I actually got to go out this weekend and shop for some stuff (didn't buy jack but got to look around). Carved up a michaels pumpkin today so things are starting to get back in the groove.

Now if only it would drop below 90 it might feel a little more like Halloween!

There is one store...besides the two party stores....here in the city where I live in in Holland that carries halloween stuff. Not much mind you, but reasonably priced. I've been checking that store every week now since the beginning of september. I got excited when I saw 'fall' stuff at the beginning of the month and thought that the halloween stuff would be out witin a matter of days. But it wasn't so. Everytime I went back, still no halloween stuff. Then last week, there it was! I was like a kid in a toy store lol Bought WAY more than needed. They even had 3D halloween stickers for making cards! That's a rare find here.
Anyway, I'm all set for next year's reaper exchange lol

Since the kids have gone back to school and started all their activities I've had ZERO time to even think of Halloween but we took the girls (and co.) to Spirit Friday night and the sun was just going down and there was a crispness in the air and I got that old feeling of Halloween excitement. It's hard to describe but I'm sure you all know what I mean. This is, for sure, the best time of the year!
You remind me of the babe. What babe? The babe with the power. What power? The power of voodoo. Who do? You do. Do what?

Glad you're back in the Halloween mood!! Allthough everyone I know recognizes me as the huge Halloween fanatic, I was too sort of losing my spirit, until I found this amazing costume last night and got completely excited all over again. Can't wait to wear it.

Isn't it funny how all it takes is 1 thing to get your black and orange blood pumping again?

I just can't imagine not feeling the Halloween spirit -- I can imagine not having time/energy to put together a haunt or plan a party, but not feel the wonder and joy of Halloween that creeps into my blood evey fall, even when it's still 90 degrees out?? Never=) But, I'm glad y'all were able to get some easy inspiration, Happy Haunting!

I know just what you mean. When the air smells a certian way, the slight chill against your skin, the breeze through your hair, the moon glowing amongst a few scattered clouds...awwww...yes!! I love that feeling! It takes me back to my childhood, every year! I dress up for work and to take my daugher trick or treating. Oh, on that night I'll spin around, dance a little dance to feel and smell the night while she goes up to doors. Wonderful!

Have you every looked at a picture of a haunted house with the bats and grave markers drawn a certain way and that feeling is provoked like you know you have been there? Ok, maybe it's just me....
