Thread: Do you have Halloween rivals? How early do your setups go up?

Sadly, my rivals of 1 year can't decorate this year. They were the first to put up a good "fight". Sadly Non Halloween related horrors have caught up with them. Their rental house is being forclosed on and they gotta be out by October first.
Its good and bad. No competition but also no more injured friends of mine, no smashed pumkins, and no more destroyed props of mine.

No,.. we do not have rivals,..not lately anyways. Everyone on the street pretty much shuts down for us. almost the whole block turn their porch lights out, they know to bow down to the kings! ha ha ha! just playin, but anyways... We had some new neighbors move in around 2005 in september,...the mother came over and started to talk to us,.. my brother, our friend chris and I started to talk to her and such,.. and we told her that we were preparing for this year's halloween,.. she immeadiatly said.. well you've got some competition this year....... we blew her out of the water...

She did ok.. but she could just not compete with how hardcore we go..noone has... we are very well known as the halloween house around here and many people come to see us,. Sometimes when my brother or i are out and about someone will come up and mention something about halloween to us lol. We've had people stop for pictures,. gotten hugs from women ((while in costume lol))

We have about three new neighbors who moved in this yer.. we'll see if they plan on competing...

No, no rivals here... Halloween is not that big in Quebec, especially not in my little town... On our street, besides 2 houses with ONE pumpkin on the porch, we're the only nutcases But we like it that way.

This year though, the town is putting up a haunted house in the hockey arena - I don't have to tell you that, as soon as the totters have taken all my candy, I will go have a look!
