A few years ago they had all kinds of new things but today it seems like they are spitting last years stuff back out to us. I swear some things are from last year and to prove it half of the crap thats is battery powered the batteries are dead. And they just put the stuff out!

As others have mentioned, I've seen a ton of duplicate items from 1-2 years ago. You would think with Halloween falling on a Friday this year they would pump out some more good/new items as it will likely be the biggest year for merchandise and costumes sales in a long time.
?? What were they thinking??

I have to agree with every body else, this halloween blows! I went to the 2 target stores in Lakeland and they have their halloween stuff out. No eye catchers there. Walmart & K-mart both same thing. Last year party city had a large section of clearance costumes for $5.00 each. This year nothing. I think I'll save my money for buckys for next year's haunt. But this year wasn't a total lost dollar tree had some great items. 1 other note I did p/u 2 sets of wings from the spirit store on clearance. I'll have demon buckys I hope this year. Maybe its just the as well with money tight the dollar not as strong as it use to be. Enough gloom I did see a couple of must have props. The candy dish that looks gray w/ black eyes when switch on a small skeleton hand comes out. And I do like the Hannibal figure. If he's still around after halloween he will have a new home with Freddy & Jason. Just need a 4th for bridge. Ok I'll get off the soapbox now the height is making dizzy.
Don't die around me if you don't wont to end up on the front lawn on HALLOWEEN

I too am a little disappointed at this year's offerings, however, I have found some of the best things at the 99 Cents/Dollar Tree type stores, which is refreshing. Lots of inexpensive little plaster skulls and gargoyles, nice painted wooden signs, and things like that. Cheap spider rings and assorted trinkets, too, which are also useful if you like passing plastic goodies out to people.
"WHAT'S out there?"
"I don't know.......it was little and brown, and low to the ground!"

I went to our Wal-Mart a couple of weeks ago and they were putting up two aisles with the big signs over them "Costumes" and "Decorations" -- I noticed in the Garden center that they had three more signs that they didn't put up, but I didn't see what they said -- I keep checking and that's still ALL they have and I think it's all they're going to have! I thought for sure they'd have more than that -- they don't have any animated props, no airblown things, no tombstones or anything -- and last year the whole garden center was full of Halloween stuff.

All we have here is Super Walmart. Only three isles of stuff, very depressing I tell you.
I work at a hardware store and we are only getting in some cheesy Charlie Brown window clings.
Guess Ill be doing my shopping online this year.""Let us live so that when we come to die even the undertaker will be sorry."-Mark Twain"

I am righ there with all of you. I haven't found one thing that I have liked all that much. There seems to be a lot of cheap-looking skeletons, bloody window hangings and styrofoam tombstones that don't last through a mild thunderstorm. I bought some 80s-looking die cuts from Meier that are pretty cool and a big, plastic, plug in jack-o-lantern from Walmart that I love. The stuff I bought this year reminds me of the early 80s decor that my parents had. For some reason, I like that that over the modern, cheap, gory stuff. Ahh, nostalgia
This year I'm really gonna kick that football...
