Well, Its officially on. We have a nice sit-in glass enclosed porch that faces a busy road. I have placed two large "Pumpkin Guardians" behind the two main windows by our front door. You cant really see the bodies because its nighttime but they each stand about 6'6 -7 feet tall. They are wearing typical scarecrow attire (flanel and ratty jeans). They are typical standees made of PVC "bones" stuffing and etc....
I was out in front of the house this evening and a family was walking by. A younger kid just stopped on the sidewalk in front of my house and stared... The mom said "ohh look, Halloween is coming" a big smile came on the kids face as he skipped away... I dont care if anything else happens this year... that made my season... Sorry for the big pic tried to resize but photobucket is being picky...
In the second one you can see how the pumpkin face reflects off the glass making it stand out...

Way to go! I love the story. I am totally into Halloween for the Kiddies. Unfortunately, I am the only house on the block, but I have kids walk by during the summer and ask what I am doing for Halloween this year! I love it. Great pumpkins!!

Totally awesome! I don't start putting mine out till about the first of October but if I had that porch I don't think I would be able to resist either!

I put out a couple things today,too
I was just going to sneak a skull into my flowerbed, then I brought out a small stack of light up pumpkins and set them on the porch just to look at them, for a sec. I wondered out lout if I should leave them there and my daughter and I both simultaneously said "No one can stop us.." It was funny. So we left them,. and even added a friend!
"Where ya going, baby? You going to get the corpses?"
"Yes, Moe...I'm going to get the corpses..."
