I liked everything except CANDY CORN -- my favorites were Bit O' Honey and Chik O' Stix. All this talk about candy reminded me -- does anyone remember the gigantic sweet tarts? They were HUGE -- I loved those and I still dream about them to this day . . .

My absolute favorite candy for Halloween was Mr. Bones. You know the coffin full of bones that tasted like smarties? They weren't my favorite to eat though. That of course goes to anything chocolate. I do love candy corn and those orange and black peanut butter things. After that...well, I pretty much loved ALL Halloween candy. Surprisingly, I was a skinny kid (probably worms )

Ok...here is a funny but very stupid Smartie story...I was twelve and I crushed up some smarties into a powder. Please keep in mind I have NEVER done drugs (seen my sister do them though) and so I decided to "snort" the smartie powder.

I sneezed for an hour straight.

It is no wonder I never did drugs LOL!

Hahaha! I think we need to start a Mary Jane fan club for the few of us that love 'em my mom is the only person I've ever know to share my taste for them. Reeses and M&Ms are my other favorites.

On the other hand, popcorn balls and candy corn is trash. Never understood the appeal for those.

Ohhh, I just had a caramel apple today. Yum! Though funny enough I never get them around Halloween. More of a summer things for me.

I ToT'd 'til I graduated HS (1978) and back then it was whole candy bars, which were awesome!
Even tho' there was the drug and razor blade scare (I'm from Michigan, so Detroit was at it's height as the crime capital of the country, but we were 2 hours north in a small town, so fear but never any fact in our area) we still got homemade cookies, brownies, candy/caramel apples and cupcakes all in those fold over (no ziplocks yet ) sandwich bags. People would invite you in for hot cider or cocoa and fresh out of the oven things! Wow, do our kids miss a lot these days.

I didn't like hard candies, so anything like that (suckers, etc.) was still in the ToT bag in my sock drawer when Easter rolled around.

Chocolate was and still is my favorite! I like candy corn and those little pumpkin shaped shaped candies, and caramels!

Just hated getting pennies and bruised apples, so gross.

I loved the wax bottles!!! The only candy I never really liked was anything licorice and the candies that old people got from the bank.

I never cared much for licorice. Everything else was pretty much okay. I always liked a candy
that I believe was called mallocreme. It was in the shape of little pumpkins. I don't think
they make it anymore.

I really don't like those mary jane candies. I wasn't too picky though. My favorites are Raisinetts and bottlecaps.

I loved Mary Janes too! Yummmmmmmmmmmmmm....think I'm gonna hunt some down this weekend!

Also, loved my chocolate!!

Hated anything that had black licorice, those Turk Bars and pretty much anything that is hard as a rock!
