I bought some of the Brach's candy corn this weekend at Target actually. I checked it out and it turns out to have no high fructose corn syrup! The first ingredient is actual sugar, then regular corn syrup, with honey rounding out the sweets in it. Pretty cool!

They got a 'Many blessin's upon your home, Ma'am!,' if they dropped some KitKats, or Snickers, or Whoppers, or Reeses or Atomic Fire Balls in my bag.....but I'd feel like givin' 'em a taste 'o me broad sword if I saw any of those lame tootsie rolls or taffy crap going' in there....I mean, who enjoys all that stickin' to your teeth, it's like getting a mold done at the orthodontist or something...oh, and cinnamon discs. Can't stand those, they have a Bengay aftertaste.

Oh, I had forgotten those cinnamon discs! The horror! Actually, I think I blocked them out on purpose....how gross were those things?

Favorite is (out of my kid's candy) butterfingers and $10,000 bars. I absolutely loathe tootsie rolls of any sort.

Candy Corn- Worst. Whomever made it should be forced to watch every episode of "She's the Sheriff" in a row.

Recess peanut butter cups For the Win!

I must agree with the Candy corn as being the worst ever. Makes me shiver thinking about it.
And for favorites, any thing with chocolate!!!

We Canadians had many of the same candy, but some different.

The best was anything chocolate - in the 70's they were smaller than regular chocolate bars, but way bigger than the 'fun' size now! Smarties, coffee crisp, kit kats, mars bars were some of my faves. I never got to eat the reese's peanut butter cups - my Dad too his "daddy tax" and took mine and my brothers LOL! My ok pile were things like chiclets, rockets, tootsie rolls and tootsie pops. My ackkk throw in the garbage pile were Eatmore bars (they were like tar with peanuts!), turkish delight chocolate bars (yummm rose flavoured gelly covered in chocolate - YUCK!) and those horrible candy kisses - the hard beigy coloured candy in the orange and black wrappers (a couple ofpeople mentioned 'mary janes' I have never heard that here) - all of those hateful candies went in the garbage.

Oh my Mum's "tax" were kraft caramels. I was lucky to get one or two!

I only give out good stuff - lots of chocolate, chips and for filler candies, I give out chiclets and bubble gum.

I definitely hated tootsie rolls. I also didn't like any cheap hard candy (butterscotch etc..) licorice was terrible, bottlecaps, sugar daddies/babies, and RAISINS!!!

I am not a candy corn fan although I really like the pumpkin ones. Don't know why, they just taste so much better.
