I'm searching for a good door greeter, but at the same time I want it to look nice, not cheaply made like some of the items I have seen this year. I was browsing online and found something called a Lifesize Vampire Host, that looks nice, but it's difficult to get an accurate idea how it looks without seeing it in person. I found one on Sams Club online that lists for about $69, and there is one on Grandin Road that retails for $200, but says it is a GR exclusive.

They look the same but one thing I noticed is that the base looks a little different between the two, but other than that I can't tell if they are identical or not...

I think they're the same. I think maybe the base on the Sam's one is a line drawing. Possibly so the detail of his feet will show. I have life size zombies and things and they all have bases like the one Grandin shows. I think they have to. The two of them seem to have the same features and if anything Sam's boasts the larger size. With it being so much lower in price that would be the one I would go with. Either way he's really cool and has personality. Everyone would love him I'm sure. That's just my 2 cents.

I saw the one at sams in person, a very chintsy wire framework for most of the support. I didnt care for it personally.

Yep,yep, yep same one. His wire frame aint great but he still is pretty neat. I'd spend as little on him as you can though. He shoulden't be put in an open spot where he could get knocked down though. :-)
halloween is a super cool holiday.

Get the cheaper one and reinforce him yourself. Stuff him where he needs it and beef up his base. That's what I would do.
