Well guys I have arrived home today from a holiday to the US and can I just say that you are all SO LUCKY!
This is the first time I have ever been to the US at Halloween time and I was amazed at all the beautiful goodies that you have in all your stores. I visited Michaels, Jo-Anns, Target, Dollar Tree, Dollar General, J C Penneys, and Christmas shop in Clearwater to name but a few and I was dumbstruck by the things that you have for sale. It was incredaible. I just wish that we could get the interest going over here to the same degree.
I had a wonderful holiday and met some really wonderful people. You really are the best...Thank you!

It is getting bigger and better in the UK every year or so. The more americanized it's getting with the stores mainly being american owned these days.
Come mid october and it's practically the same as the US in terms of media and marketing. Just need to get more people hooked on.
Give it 4-5 years and i'd be willing to bet it'll be as good as the states.

Yeah and yet you still see threads here where people complain about the lack of selection lol
I say we force them all to live in europe for a few years and then everything will look great again
Glad to hear you had such a nice trip.

Hi
Yes i Stayed at St Petes for two days during our stay in Davenport. We watched the sun going down into the sea as pelicans dived into the water fishing. It was amazing! The most beautiful place!

Its certainly growing in popularity over here, in a couple of weeks time we will be holding the first dedicated haunted attraction convention in the UK at the NEC and hope to lay out plans for a Haunted Attraction Tradeshow sometime in the future.
A good place to take the pulse of haunting in the UK is here Haunted Attractions UK - Home

I've been wondering how things work in other countries...mostly why/how they would even celebrate halloween if you can't get decorations and do most of the kids trick or treat?
Do you have the religious folks that think it's evil and try to ban it?
Glad your time here was nice!

The thing to remember about Halloween as its generally known on this forum is that its pretty much an American festival.
Interestingly tomorrow the Church of England is going to issue a public apology to Charles Darwin for "misunderstanding" the theory of evolution, and announcing that they intend to distance themselves from extremists who don't accept that the teachings of the CoE are compatible with modern science.
So there is hope for religion after all
